The Project Development in Certosa Park Island

It is a new model for Certosa Urban Park 2015. This is the project development in Certosa island Italy, Certosa Urban Park 2015. This is a development project aimed at creating a self-sufficient island able to manage energy, matter and information in an independent and clean manner. The territorial re-qualification is centered on sustainable development principles and on the island’s functional vocation.

The project will provide electricity, heat and hot water, with the use of solar devices. It will be integrated into buildings surfaces and deployment over less valuable areas of the island. Besides that, the architects plan for hydrogen production through electrolysis process and its storage in cylinders, to be evaluated as a solution to exploit any energy surplus. The storm water will be collected in underground storage tanks. It can serve as a cold inertial load and will be integrated with solar cooling devices. There’re also sub-surface that constructed wetlands. It would be an appropriate solution for grey water treatment.
