The Folded Roof House in Musko Island

This is the Folded Roof House was designed by Swedish architectural studio Claesson Koivisto Rune. The total floor area of this house is 140 m2. This is an one-storey house with an asymmetric folded roof plane which is located on the Muskö island in Sweden. The bedrooms of this house are located at two gable ends and separated by the living and dining rooms.

The bedrooms also have a full glazed opening and recessed terrace. So, it provides a beautiful panorama view towards the water. The floor plan of this house can provide for separation between private bedrooms and a communal kitchen and living room. The openings are fully glazed. They inset into the house volume so the roof-covered terrace spaces serve as continuations of the interior.  The other important visual feature is the framing of these insets by the thin wall and roof edges.
