The Dynamo Complex Stadium in Moscow

This is the design for the Dynamo Stadium in Moscow. It is designed by Erick Van Egeraat. This stadium will be located on a 116,000-m2 plot in Petrovsky Park.  Erick van Egeraat’s proposed “multifunctional urban regenerator”. It will feature a 45,000-seat Stadium Arena, a 10,000-seat Arena Hall, a Retail and Entertainment complex, restaurants, parking and other facilities.  The proposed design aims to provide a self sustaining model that will be activated continually throughout the day.

The newer style literally grows out of the older expression as the bubble seems to float above the older outer wall. The facilities are all concentrated in the current stadium’s perimeter, providing easy access between the activities for both competitors and spectators. The architects proposed a design that embraces the history and context of the Dynamo stadium and the Petrovski Park.
