This is the final design of Fiona Stanley Hospital. It’s located in Pert, Australia. It’s the largest building infrastructure project ever undertaken by WA. This building will become part of a co-ordinated hospital system across metropolitan Perth. There’s a prototype rooms in this hospital that will be a tool in consulting and informing staff, key stakeholders and the community. These rooms feature nine full-size replica rooms which include patient rooms; an operating room; intensive care room; emergency department resuscitation bay; staff base; consultation room; and utility rooms. These rooms are also fitted with the latest in furniture and fittings.
The architect of this building uses design techniques and elements such as lighting, color, texture, views, natural light and art. They have been shown to have a healing and therapeutic effect on patients, staff, visitors and families. There’re about 83% of the patient rooms will be single rooms. There’re also air control systems that raise the use of fresh air to improve the indoor air quality.
The bathroom in this hospital will feature low-flow fixtures in order to minimize water consumption. Besides that, rainwater will be collected for reuse in irrigation. This building will dedicate for educational and pathology, mental health, administration and the State rehabilitation service.
