watkinson-school01Project Frog in Watkinson School. This is the idea of a building as a teaching tool and not just a building. The teachers are so inspired by the environment in which they teach that the classroom becomes part of the curriculum. The students in turn are taught lessons that incorporate sustainability, conservation and environmental awareness. Project Frog has been achieving some amazing numbers with its environmentally friendly modular classrooms.

The classroom space was built from 50 percent recycled material. The building is outfitted with 60 solar panels that reduce the electricity costs to zero. It also produces more energy that the building uses. Because of the modular design, the project took only 6 months until it has finished. This Project Frog has inspired some school to change his “ugly” school becomes environmentally friendly school.
