Blades of Grass Kindergarten in Austria

Kindergarten Sighartstein was designed by German practice Kadawittfeldarchitektur. It is located in Austria. This kindergarten design resembles “blades of grass”. We can find this building in different ways by a vertical and horizontal three-dimensional network. This kindergarten was developed from two horizontal layers that surround a central hall and courtyard. The most beautiful place is in the midst of green meadows and fields leads to the concept of the built playground

This kindergarten is situated on the outer edge of the site of green meadows and fields. The oversized “grass blades” communicate the building’s unique identity and provides an orientation marker for the kindergarten. The stylized “grass blades” that act as a continuation of the landscape theme. On the ground floor, we’ll find the space for the kindergarten group which is the direct access to the garden. The core of this building has a multi-functional hall. There’s a communicative center for children and caretakers. It is usually used for shared activities and an alternative space for bad-weather activities.
